Who is lang dulay

Lang Dulay, who was born in 1928, began weaving when she was 12 years old. Her contribution to Philippine culture and art is the preservation of her people's identity and history, which she weaves into each of her T'nalak clothes.

 During President Fidel Ramos' administration, she was recognized as a national living treasure in 1998 and received a "Gawad sa Manlilikha ng Bayan (GAMABA)" award from the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) in 1998 for her commitment to the preservation of T'boli culture and her outstanding craftsmanship of the delicate abaca ikat cloth.

Taught by her mother, Luan Senig, Lang Dulay is known as "The Dreamweaver," where she created and perfected the now-famous and gorgeous T'nalak cloth of the T'boli tribe of South Cotabato.
